19th Century French Yellow Silk Brocade

Applied 19th Century appliqué featuring central Silver and Gold metallic Lamb of God within a spangled star burst

Edged with 19th century silvery gold metallic french braid and Silver tassel fringe

The Lamb is beautiful raised three dimensional Gold work

Showing signs of general wear commensurate with age and use

The Lamb appliqué at one time was salvaged from a religious chasuble and is in good antique gently time worn condition.  it retains the central Magenta silk velvet ground

FOOTNOTE  All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles

I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age

Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc

I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of use
