The French Aubusson Tapestry panel dates from 17th Century

Woven in Naturally Dyed wool and silk Depicting a group of Chickens in a woodland setting.

Finished with antique 18th century Gold Metallic Braid and 17th century tassel fringe Backed with antique Gold silk

The Tapestry panel is in Good antique condition considering it is approx 350 years old Shows general signs of wear commensurate with age and use Please read below what may be expected re_ condition of these rare and ancient textiles as this may not be acceptable to you

would complement an antique or contemporary interior design

FOOTNOTE  All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles

I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age

Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc

I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of use

PLEASE NOTE On a genuine 17th century verdure tapestry we would of course expect to see evidence confirming its 400 years of use, such as loose missing threads, areas of general wear, perhaps areas of re weaving / restoration/ patching , lines of separation within the weaving, sometimes areas of sun fading and brittle threads. All quite normal for great age and type
